Mentorship has an image problem. Too often it means an hour of encouragement, a photograph, and no follow-up.

The mentors who change outcomes do something narrower and harder: they agree on one number with the founder, and they check it every month.

That is the model the Mentor Council is built around. Fewer platitudes, more commitments with dates attached.

It also runs in both directions. Mentors who spend a season inside a growing business in Aba or Kano learn more about the market than any report will teach them.
